Best Friends Forever

Just over a month ago, a good friend of mine Ally broke a really sad news to me. Another friend of ours, Jan will be leaving Singapore on a 3 years work stint in China. How sad can that be? I immediately called her and asked her all the why, where, when and what questions. I guess at that point of time I was overcome with shock and surprise that our dear friend is leaving us behind. Ally and I have been good friends for more than 14 years and when I got to know Jan 8 years ago, we were classmates during our undergraduate studies. Thereafter, Ally joined us, they were introduced to each other by me and that was when our friendship bloomed. We’ve always been in touch regularly over the years, meeting up almost every month. Sometimes we were busy with work and family life we don’t see each other for months at times but we were always in touch til this day. We’ve been there for each other through good and bad times. And now with her leaving, a part of us is missing. Well, she’s definitely coming back for visits a couple of times a year but we will miss our monthly all-girls get together. Nevertheless, we wished her all the best in her new endeavour and hope one day we could all visit her in China.

So, about a couple of weeks ago before she left, we decided to have a photo session with a few more friends whom we always hang out with. We wanted her to have these photos with her so whenever she misses home or us, these photos will remind her of us and hope she’ll keep us close to her heart. And this goes the same to us. We did have a GREAT time! And with the help of a tripod, I managed to have group photos taken with me in them as well! *laugh* I would’t want to miss it for anything. And the photos turned up really good. What I mean is the photos did capture the moment of us as good friends, the special bond we share for years.

Here are some of my favorites.

We’re missing you tons Jan and we’ll always be here when you return.:)

Adeline & Adah

My non-existence in this blog has stretched up to close to 2 months simply because of these few reasons.

1. I was so busy at work and when I reached home every evening, I was so dead tired, mentally and physically, I have no strength left to do anything else

2. I was spending more time with my family and friends, and was left with no time to keep a regular update on my blog

3. I was busy creating for my scrapbooking assignments and updating my other blog (yes, I’m a busy woman maintaining 2 blogs!) I practically neglected this blog

So, you see, I have valid reasons to excuse myself from updating this blog but I’m not sure if you’ll buy it! *laugh*

Anyway, having said that, remember the lucky winner of my photography session giveaway months back? Well, we finally had our session a couple of weeks ago after postponing it for months due to bad weather (it’s been raining so much this year) and family commitment.

Here’s Adeline with her sweet daughter, Adah who is 6, the same age as my boy Ethan. I had a great time with both mother and daughter and they’re so easy to work with. Both of them were so fun and the pictures really show how wonderful they were. Gorgeous mummy Adeline + pretty Adah = PERFECT!:)

I’ll be back soon with the next posting of a session which I had recently with my friends. I promise you’re going to like what I have for you.:)

See ya soon!

My camera loves her

I’m back from Japan since Sunday but I didn’t get the chance to pop in here to say hi until now. Live is like a roller coaster, it goes up and down and then up and down again. And for now, it’s going way up high and life is so darn busy like hell at work! I wish I could set aside time to breathe, sit back and relax a little. And I had a tough time keeping myself ‘balanced’ today because my head was spinning like a merry-go-round. Well, blame it on myself for not getting enough sleep and going on an empty stomach every morning without proper breakfast. I seriously need to change my lifestyle.

And I missed my yoga soooooooo much…………………:(

Hey, I wanted to share some pictures I took of Shayne (again!!) just before I left for Japan 2 weeks ago. I know I know, you must be sick seeing her pictures plastered all over my blog lately but I can’t help it. She has been my most cooperative photogenic ‘model’ and I have no one else who is as cute as her to photograph! *laugh* Yes, you have to agree with me she’s the most adorable, prettiest little thing on Singapore soil, right? RIGHT!!:D

I’ll just spare you the agony of seeing her too much in this blog and will post a couple of pictures I took of her. Well, I just have to warn you that you will be seeing her on a regular basis unless I have someone else who’s willing to let me photograph.:)

Here’s the little princess, all smiles and cuteness and everything else………………. *laugh*

One of my favorite shots of her.

Another favorite of mine………:)

She’s so comfortable having her pictures taken!

This is truly one of my favorites!! Look at her……..she’s fit to be a child model. And her godma is going to be her official photographer! :)

And you’re going to LOVE this one, my all time FAVOURITE!!

She hit the core of my soul with her sweetest smile!!

Annabella………..we seriously need to talk. I think as her Godma, I still have some right to keep her by by side at times, you know like a couple of days a week and you can be definitely be assured she’s well taken care of. You know how much we adore her, right? *laugh* Sister, you’re the luckiest person on earth, do you know that?:)

I’ll be going on a vacation to my home country, Malaysia and will be back mid of next week. I’m very thankful for this short break, which is very much needed. My hub, Ethan and I will be staying with my folks and we’ll get to see my aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and my best friends over this weekend. We’re having a get together and also celebrating Ethan’s 6th birthday a week ahead.  I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone again, after 2 years long years of absence from home. I missed them dearly.

Will be back here again soon if I can get a connection. Have a great week and see y’all soon!:)

I certainly agree that Shayne is simply sweet & photogenic… and nice shots too!

Thank you

I’ve been overwhelmed by all the responses I received from family and friends, all the well wishes and congratulatory messages have been heart warming. I sincerely appreciate the support shown to me and I hope my photography journey will bring me great memories and also sharing them with our loved ones. It’s going to be a long journey ahead but definitely a memorable one. I hope I can bring out the best in my work and share what I see through my little square viewfinder which portrays the actual scene.

And thank you once again for all your warm wishes in my first blog post and without further ado, let me announce the lucky person who will have a fun photography session with me for up to 2 person (with your hubby, bf, son or daughter) worth S$300 which will also include a 20″ x 30″ canvas print to be displayed in your lovely home!!:D

Little Angels

I didn’t realize how much I longed for a little girl until I saw my little angel god daughter again last week. She’s the sweetest little angel everyone would like to keep for themselves. I seriously do!! Maybe I should have a serious talk with my dear friend Belle if I could keep her……………well, maybe not forever, just a couple of weeks will do. *laugh* I think she will skin me alive before I could lay my hands on Shayne. Ooooohhhh…………her name itself sounds so sweet.

Geez, I really sound like a smitten psycho woman who is sooooooo in love! I really am, with this sweetie pie.:)Please, don’t even get me started on this. I am NOT trying for another child, period! (I know some of you out there have been pestering me on that! :p) Who can ever guarantee that I will definitely have a girl, right? Right! My dear hub  said to me “How can I guarantee I can give you a girl??!! What if it’s another boy?”……….and we always laugh it off because we’re both happy with only one. I love my wonderful boy so much I wouldn’t give him up for anyone else. But then again, I’m just as happy as I am now with Shayne being my god daughter. I’m blessed to be a godmama to her and I know I’m someone who will spoil her rotten.:D

Here are some of the shots I took of her and her sweetie pie sister Spring. Belle, you’re one lucky woman to ‘own’ these girls!! I envy you to death!! (even though I heard all the scary stories how these 2 fight! lol…lol…)

Thank you so much to everyone for your warm wishes on the official launch of this photoblog. I couldn’t have done this without your support and encouragement.

Please do not forget to leave some love in my last post to stand a chance to win a compliment photography session with me!

Will be back soon again to share with you some of my previous photoshoots. Have a great week!:)
